Prior to the invention of wetsuits, many tribes in colder regions who wished to go for a winter swim would set their swimwear on fire before sprinting into the icy water. The fire would keep them warm enough for a quick surf or spear fishing before returning to shore. We have replicated the swimwear worn by the tribes but would still recommend you use a wetsuit rather than setting your new purchase on fire before taking a cold water dip.Â
